Well, we woke up to a wet morning just like the night before and settled into a nice drive towards Margaret River. On the way, we stopped at Denmark's Honey Bartholomew's Meadery, to enjoy some ice cream and to catch a bee.

A walk among the treetops at the Valley of the Giants is very enjoyable. It's nice to get the chance to look from a different vantage point.

There's a link to the tree top walk HERE

This ancient and unique red tingle forest is a must-see. Some of the forest plants, including the ancient giant tingle trees, have origins that can be traced back 65 million years crikey, to the supercontinent Gondwana when Australia was joined with what are now Africa, India, Antarctic and South America. Bit of history for ya.

We drive until we arrive at the township of Witchcliffe, where yours truly wanted to have a gander at a little pub that I was told about.

It's called Dear Darnells pub, and it turned out to be probably me most loved bar in the whole of Australia, Fairdinkum.

When you first walk in through the front gate you wonder along a small alleyway towards this little off building, while having a gander at all the old quirky things this place has to offer.

One of the pubs many beer gardens that you can sit and just let your mind wonder.

Looking towards the roof inside the pub it's just a miss mash of different sheets of tin and different things to gander at, it's quiet a ripper time just walking about with a beer in hand having a stickybeak.
Isn't that the best bar you've ever seen!

This is just the best bar you could cast your eyes apon in Australia, fairdinkum. There's much to appreciate about a venue that contributes to an eclectic blend, including the Amato Vino tasting room, a beaut coffee shop, and innovative retail spaces. The design features reclaimed and vintage elements throughout, from the stained glass to the central circular bar adorned with pressed tin. The laid-back decor suggests it's a spot to enjoy a few local beers, such as their own Darnell’s Lager which is a top drop.

And have a gander at this bloody ripper Parmy, mate you just go wrong in this place. Yep with a doubt this pub just my most biggest thumbs up that I could give.

But all good things have to come to an end and with the rain falling down in the night sky, we made it to Margaret River for the night, and after being rejected by about ten motels we got a room in the Margreat River bed and breakfast.

And it turned out to be a real bloody ripper place to stay, with a nice spar bath in our bedroom, so it was a chance to lay back with a beer in hand and just relax.
