Well, the next morning we filled out tank and headed out from Kal towards our destination for the night, and what a place to stay. Yep, the Caiguna Roadhouse! Where it all started way back 25 years ago...

After setting up at Caiguna e headed out to see our favourite tourist destination when you're out here in the middle of nowhere...

Yep, the Cocklebiddy Cave! Way back 25 years ago me and the misses and three of our Caiguna Roadhouse workers went driving out here, we climbed all the way to the bottom of the cave where we then swam a long way along to, we came to the end of the cave. From there the cave sinks under the water and keeps going for heaps of kilometres, so to do that you need to have scuba gear and there's no chance this little black duck will ever be doing that.

But as you can see over the years there has been quite a few cave-in's and now they have closed it up to the public, but I don't think that will stop Tania.

But she did get as close as she could, you might think that you could actually climb down there, but the photo doesn't do it justice as the drop is massive. Fairdinkum you'd need a rope and probably a ladder and also hope a ranger doesn't go passed, oh and you didn't fall and kill yourself. Now that would be a bugger.

And as you can see it was still a bit of a drive back just to get to the Nullarbor, if you go looking for it you will find a car pullover next to the 10km sign post before you reach the Cocklebiddy roadhouse on the left side heading East. Just keep driving along the dirt trace for I think it's about twenty kilometres in and then you'll find the cave, trust me it's worth the drive but I wouldn't recommend doing it in the dart.

So, in the Dark we made to last ten kilometres to Cocklebiddy roadhouse for our wedding Anniversary feed.

So here we were on our 25th Wedding Anniversary having a ripper roadhouse feed, where all of our history together started.

ree

After a nice feed and a couple of beers we headed back along the Nullarbor to we reached Caiguna again and headed to the bar for another beer and a good game of pool doubles.

ree

When we were working at Caiguna there wasn't a bar there which trust me was probably a good thing, but tonight we enjoyed having a beer and playing doubles with a couple of Sheila's who were staying out in the caravan park.

Our penthouse unit for the night as we were shocked to find out that the roadhouse doesn't stay open 24hours anymore, and we watched in shock as thay closed the doors and left us sitting outside in the park wondering what to do at eight o'clock in the middle of the desert. Luckly for us were getting old and after a few beers sitting on the park bench we decided to head to bed.
