Well, me and the misses are on a bush bash road trip into the desert for over a week, as we celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. God knows what we are expecting but I'm sure there's the odd beer garden to be had. And out of the blue we decided to spend the night in Southern cross, and our first night out had to be the Railway tavern, which is what you'd call the locals pub... Our kind of pub.

The misses beating me at Pool wasn't part of the trip, but there's still two more pubs for me to catch up.

Inside the Railway hotel is a bit scruffy and is a real rough and ready kind of pub, so me and the misses fitted in really well.

'No whingeing area' Say no more, I love it.

Well, we popped up to our next drinking hole, which was The Club Hotel, the fancy pub in town that brews its own amber nectar. As you can see it once was a real ripper old pub, and now it's been brought back into the twenty first century...

Me and the misses outside the Club hotel having a cuddly.

As you can see inside The Club hotel is pretty up to scratch and looks pretty spiffy.

And Tania again kicks my ass at pool again (with the odd

technicality)... Nice pub.

A Goldfields Lagar and the minster of war's Jim Beam went down real nice.

We had the nice warm walk through the township to our last pub for the night, the grand old Palace hotel sits on the end of Antares Street, alongside the Great eastern highway.

And yes, the misses did beat me in the Southern Cross pool comp
