Well, I think I've found my spiritual home as this place is a little bloody ripper, it's the all new The Slice sports bar in Midland. And as you can see, I had all the drinking age boys with me, as we sank a nice Feral brewery pint of lagar.

The centrepiece of the venue is a massive LED video wall, making it the perfect spot to watch all the major sporting events live and loud, regardless of where you are seated. AFL and UFC take the spotlight each week, but you'll also catch basketball, cricket, Baseball, international matches, and more.

However, what's a great game without the snacks? That's where Last Slice steps into the spotlight. The menu leans into quality over quantity, with a tight edit of crowd-pleasers like hand-stretched New York-style pizzas, sticky, spice-loaded wings and tenders, tasty share plates, and elevated pub classics.

Located in the old Spotlight building right next to Hungry Jack's just off the Great Easton Highway, and there's a great selection of wines and cocktails, plus all your go-to beers on tap and don't forget having a Feral beer. It’s as much a spot for a Friday night wine with the girls as it is for settling in with the boys for a super arvo of sport.

Our next friday arvo drinks were at the old Beeches Hotel in Beechboro,

The back bar was hopping with a good amount of punters all placing their bets on the nags, quiet a tidy little pub with a little beer garden off to the side.

In the main bar, there are a couple of pool tables, and we tried one before our food arrived. The young fellow was enjoying a steak and chips, while I was about to dive into a delicious Parmi, both the meals were cooked perfectly and were generously portioned. The service was good and reasonably priced. Overall, we were very satisfied and would recommend it as a place to visit for a casual meal.

And for our third pub it was our favourite pub in Midland, the old legendary Commercial Hotel. Without a doubt it's a bloody ripper.

Here's the outback beer garden which is usually a beaut spot to sit out back and sink a coldie, but there was still a chill in the air so sitting inside would do the trick today.

Again, we ordered our usual which is Stake for the young fella and a Parmi for yours truly, and to wash it down you have to try their pub lager, fairdinkum it's a bloody beauty.
